생활 부평구 치매안심센터, 무료 치매조기검진 진행
부평구(구청장 차준택) 치매안심센터가 연중 주민을 대상으로 무료 치매조기검진을 진행하고 있다. 이번 검진은 치매 조기 발견을 위해 실시하는 것으로, 조기에 치료하는 경우 효과 극대화와 위험인자의 철저한 관리를 통해 발병 시점을 최대한 지연시킬 수 있다. 검사 중 선별·진단검사는 무료이며, 감별검사가 필요한 경우 소득과 관계없이 누구나 최대 11만 원 이내 본인부담금을 지원받을 수 있다. 또한 대상자의 검사결과에 따라 체계적인 치매관리가 이뤄질 수 있도록 ▲치매치료관리비지원 ▲조호물품 지원 ▲실종예방서비스 ▲인지강화 프로그램 등 다양한 프로그램과 연계한다. 이 밖에도 거리가 멀어 방문이 어려운 주민을 위해 청천보건지소, 열우물건강생활지원센터, 갈산종합사회복지관, 부평남부노인문화센터에서 매월 정기적으로 찾아가는 치매조기검진을 운영하고 있다. 자세한 사항은 부평구 치매안심센터(032-509-1320)로 문의하면 된다. 부평구 치매안심센터 관계자는 "치매는 조기에 발견해 적절히 치료할 경우 중증 상태로의 진행을 억제하거나 증상을 개선하는 것이 가능하다"며 "60세 이상이면 2년마다 정기적으로, 증상이 의심되면 즉시 누구나 치매 조기검진을 받으시길 바란다"고 말했다.

생활 장성군 삼계면 여성자원봉사회 봉사활동 ‘주목’
법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 장성군 삼계면 여성자원봉사회가 화재로 갈 곳을 잃은 사창성모지역아동센터 아이들을 위해 봉사활동을 펼쳤다. 앞서 삼계면 행정복지센터는 원불교 사창교당과 함께 사창성모지역아동센터 아이들이 머물 수 있는 임시 시설을 마련했다. 공간은 확보했지만 청소와 정리를 할 일손이 턱없이 부족했다. 이에 삼계면 여성자원봉사회가 팔을 걷고 나섰다. 회원들은 아이들이 편안하고 쾌적하게 지낼 수 있도록 실내 먼지를 닦아내고 쓰레기를 수거하며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 김효임 여성자원봉사회장은 “아이들이 바르고 건강하게 자라길 바라는 마음으로 이번 봉사를 추진하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃을 위해 적극적으로 나서겠다”고 전했다. 안보현 삼계면장은 “생업으로 바쁜 데도 불구하고 봉사에 참여해 주신 여성자원봉사회에 감사드린다”면서 “면도 어려움에 처한 주민을 돕는 데 더욱 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

생활 아름다운 연꽃으로 물든 함안 연꽃테마파크
법왕청신문 이정하 기자 | 함안군 연꽃테마파크에 가면 다양한 연꽃이 아름다운 자태를 뽐내고 있다. 연꽃테마파크는 연꽃을 감상하며 산책하기 좋아 이른 아침부터 노을 지는 시간까지 방문객들의 발길이 이어지고 있다. 특히 함안에서만 볼 수 있는 연꽃인 ‘아라홍련’도 있다. 아라연꽃은 지난 2009년 5월 성산산성에서 발굴된 씨앗으로 발아시킨 연꽃으로 성분 결과 약 700년전 고려시대 연꽃 씨인 것으로 확인됐다. 이곳 함안지역이 본래 옛 아라가야가 있던 곳이기 때문에 아라연꽃이라 명명했으며, 고려시대 불교 탱화에서 볼 수 있는 연꽃의 형태와 색깔을 간직한 채 2009년 7월 7일 700년 만에 꽃을 다시 피웠다.

법왕청신문 김지은 기자 | 진천군은 11일 주철장전수교육관에서 문화재청・충청북도・진천군에서 후원하고 충청북도문화재연구원과 한국범종학회가 주관하는 ‘주철장의 전승양상과 문화적 가치’ 학술대회를 개최했다. 이번 학술대회는 2023년 진천군 지역무형문화유산 사업의 일환으로 국가무형문화재인 주철장이 가지고 있는 문화적 가치와 현대로 이어지는 전승 양상을 살펴보기 위해 마련됐다. 학술대회는 △한국 범종의 우수성과 문화적 가치(이광배 리움미술관 수석연구원) △근현대 주철장의 전승활동과 의의(원보현 동국대학교 문화예술대학원 겸임교수) △전통기술복원의 시작, 선림원지동종 제작기(윤용현 국립중앙과학관 한국과학기술사과 과장) △성덕대왕 신종의 재현, 신라대종 제작기(김석현 강원대학교 메카트로닉스 공학전공 명예교수) △범종 제작기술의 전승과 세계화(원천수 주철장 이수자) 주제발표에 이어 임석규불교문화재연구소 학예연구실장을 좌장으로 종합토론이 진행됐다. 학술대회와 함께 ‘제작소 프로젝트 2023’ 기획 전시가 함께 열렸다. 금속공예를 매개체로 삼아 국가무형문화재인 주철장과 유기장, 그리고 현대의 금속공예가의 작업 공간을 테마로 구성했으며 이날을 시작으로 오는 31일까지 운영된다.
